Here are random shots taken during yesterday's white fury, and today's cleanup. A pair of mourning doves found comfort from the storm by huddling closely on a cherry tree branch. Our fine feathered friends (descendants of dinosaurs) a female cardinal, chickadees, warblers and even a borrowing squirrel, posed for the camera.

The snowman was made by the girl across the street.

  1. Wonderful pictures. Thank you.

Hope you're safe, warm, dry, and brimming with electrical power. We are, here, but I'm very sorely missing the summer weather right now.

  2. As P. B. Shelley wrote in the Ode to the West Wind

...Be through my lips to unawaken'd earth the trumpet of a prophecy!
O Wind, If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?

  3. 1) I am very happy that you mentioned your Dino Park, even when invaded by our fury friends.

    2) Great neighborhood snowman! Webster Ct. hasn't seen anything like that since the Corrinos lived there. ;-)

Hell, yeah, judging by the huge snow mounds here in Havertown.
