end papers

snow prints
beaver handiwork
winter thaw
trail signage improvements

It's been some time since I placed an entry. I guess my creative juices have run dry. It is, after all, tax season. So here is some random beauty, captured by Karen and J, at the Plainsboro Preserve this afternoon.

Here are random shots taken during yesterday's white fury, and today's cleanup. A pair of mourning doves found comfort from the storm by huddling closely on a cherry tree branch. Our fine feathered friends (descendants of dinosaurs) a female cardinal, chickadees, warblers and even a borrowing squirrel, posed for the camera.

The snowman was made by the girl across the street.

Day 38

It's like the watched pot that never boils! Walk away for a couple of weeks and return to see how the garden has grown. I'll have to conjure up some potato salad this weekend and throw in some of that fresh dill. Or perhaps I'll make meatballs and use a handful of the lovely basil and a spot of mint tea. Care to join me?
